Rodeo Recap 2020: From CAT Lift Trucks to a VIP Party |
Posted: July 15, 2020 |
Since 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has been kickin’ it with exciting rodeo shows, later adding things like musical acts from renowned stars, Texas-themed art, bar-b-que competitions, and even scholarship opportunities. In fact, HLSR has committed to giving away $27 million towards educational programs in 2020. In 2010, the famed HLSR event managed to reach 2 million attendees, making the Houston Rodeo no small feat. With that said, the HLSR’s success is dependent on many of their partners, sponsors, and volunteers – a group of entities and individuals that we can say we are proud to be a member of. Between using CAT Lift Trucks to keep the grounds beautiful and hosting a special VIP party, we were able to live it up at this year’s rodeo even though the doors had to be closed early. Read on as we discuss our role at the Houston Rodeo and recap our favorite experiences at HLSR 2020! Our Rodeo Role Known as the official lift truck provider for the 2020 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Darr Equipment is a proud partner of HLSR. We have been responsible for preparing and maintaining the grounds for 16 years, so this certainly isn’t our first rodeo. Despite this year’s unprecedented situation surrounding the global pandemic, we were still thrilled to be able to contribute to the 2020 Houston Rodeo. Our Grounds Presence At the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, we like engaging with rodeo-goers and encouraging fun times. We set up a Darr Equipment photo booth in NRG Park that was fit for the perfect group shot to post on your social media. We also showed off our CAT Lift Trucks in the NRG Center for an interactive experience. Our VIP Party At the Darr Equipment VIP event, our team and top customers got together to celebrate the kick-off of the 2020 Rodeo. Between good music, some killer dance moves, and plenty of refreshments, we showed appreciation for our most valuable customers. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to have fun while honoring our clients’ business and loyalty. We appreciate getting the opportunity to work with the amazing folks behind HSLR once again. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, our community showed us strength and support by helping out the small businesses being affected by the Rodeo’s early closure – just like how the Rodeo has helped out the Houston community and small businesses all these years.
